Mock Exam: a simulation of the real interview

Knowing the right answer and knowing it under time pressure are different things. That is why Daily Quiz and Mock Exam complement each other: the first builds your knowledge base, the second tests whether that base holds when the timer is running and there are no hints.

What the 15/20 passing threshold means

75% is not a random figure. Real Karta Polaka and Stały pobyt interviews have no fixed percentage threshold: the consul evaluates answers subjectively, weighing confidence and overall impression. But experience shows: a candidate who consistently scores 15+ out of 20 is ready.

When to take Mock Exam

Don't start with Mock Exam. If you've just begun preparation and score 8/20 on the simulation — that won't be a useful signal, it will just be discouraging.

The right time is after two to three weeks of regular Daily Quiz, when your correct-answer rate in daily sessions is consistently above 70%. That is the signal your foundation is in place and it is time to test it under exam-like conditions.

Why the timer matters

10 minutes for 20 questions is 30 seconds per question. At the real interview the consul will not wait long. The timer in Mock Exam trains one key thing: answering from the first word, without stalling in search of the «right phrasing». If you know the material, 30 seconds is enough. If you only «sort of know» it — the timer will show you exactly where the gap is.

What happens after Mock Exam

At the end you'll see: your correct-answer count, time remaining, and a list of questions you got wrong — with correct answers and explanations. Questions you missed are automatically added to Error Deck for targeted consolidation.
