Insider Questions: consul questions that are not on the official lists

Why a separate section

The bot's main database covers the history, traditions, geography and symbols of Poland. According to consultants' materials and people who have already had the conversation, the consul also asks about other things: how you celebrate holidays, why you want the document, what ties you to Poland. These questions have no single right answer, and they are hard to prepare for from a list.

For the Karta Polaka, the conversation with the consul checks your Polish under the law. So what matters is not only what you say but how confidently you say it.

Where the questions come from

The questions are collected from open sources. Most come from blogs of consultants who prepare people for the Karta Polaka interview, plus articles, videos and posts about personal experience. A small share (20) we wrote ourselves, based on topics that keep coming up in the sources. For 262 questions the link to the source is kept.

Every question is checked by hand before it goes into the bot. This is not an official list: the consul may phrase it differently or ask about something else. The section trains your reaction to an unusual question, not a list to memorise.

Which exam types they cover

Most questions were collected for the Karta Polaka (262), a large share also applies to permanent residence (231), and only a few to citizenship (20). One question can belong to several types. The section shows all questions whatever exam type you chose, because a conversation about you and your motivation is similar across documents.

One question, broken down

This is how a card in the bot works: the answer opens after you have tried to answer yourself, and the breakdown sits behind the «Details» button.

How to use it

1. Main menu → Consul Interview → Insider Questions.
2. Pick a filter: Tricky, Culture, History, Personal, All or Only new, meaning the ones you have not seen yet. Next to each filter the bot shows how many questions it holds.
3. Choose how many questions to go through: 5, 10 or 20.
4. Read the question, answer out loud in Polish, then reveal the answer and mark whether you knew it.
5. The first screen of the section shows how many questions you have already seen, so it is easy to cover them all.

How to answer an open question

• Start with a direct answer in one sentence, without a long introduction.
• Add specifics from your own life: who in your family is connected to Poland, which holiday you celebrate and how.
• Two or three confident sentences in Polish beat a long monologue learned by heart.

The sample answers in the cards are built this way, so they work well as a structure for your own facts. Some samples leave room for your details in square brackets, for example [First name and surname].

Share your own question

If you have already had the conversation, tell us what you were asked: Consul Interview → Share a question from your exam. The bot asks for the city, the question itself and, if you like, your answer. We check every question sent in before adding it to the database.
